She has a small space atop the medicine cabinet where the radio fits snugly. There is an NPR FM station about sixty miles away, we live in foothill country, and were concerned about reception, but that station and numerous others come in very clearly. We've explored the AM band, just to see (in case I want to listen to a ball game), but get only static. The folder that accompanied the radio suggested getting a separate antenna for AM, but we won't bother. We did go ahead and order an FM dipolar antenna at the same time we ordered this radio, but it turns out we don't need it at all. Great listening to music.. Picks up most of the FM stations were I live.. The AM is not as good as I would like fades in and out a bit but I can get most of the stations I like..If you looking for a great sounding FM Its it. Cute!
