However I took the leap and got it (as it had everything I needed). One of it's shortfalls is that this controller is not DVI-D dual link. It is only single link, which is more than enough for all signals, but it's not the "best of the best." That might explain why it's PIP ability is only 1680x1050 max. resolution. Anyways, it can take many forms of coaxial signals, however you will be required to purchase a digital air converter box if you live in the United States and want to receive TV stations via antenna. The box is very easy to set up and it has almost every single connection (you will need to get a HDMI to DVI-D adapter if you wish to plug in an HDMI device). For a television of equal size, I was looking at dropping $300-$400 on a TV. Thankfully, I learned of these wonderful little devices that convert your computer monitor into a fully-functioning TV! You are also able to remain connected to your computer, and can easily hook up a DVD player. So, if you would like a TV and computer in the same place (bedroom, office, whatever), I'd definitely recommend the Tvbox.
