Though bigger than it looks in the picture, it's still compact enough that I use it in my car to listen to books on tape during my commute. No nonsense and easy to use. Sound quality is good, but not great. A nice buy for the price.

I bought this model over a year ago. I record three hours a day on cassette, and listen almost that much, so it works out 5-7 hours a day of cassette use. (I prefer cassettes because you don't lose your place when you stop or take it out.) I use it to tape radio programs, and when I listen I fast forward a lot through the commercials. So it has been used really hard. It is only now making noises like it might be wearing out, so I'm buying a new one to have on hand. I have found over many years of doing this that buying expensive cassette players wasn't worth the money, they didn't last any longer than the cheap ones. So I have just bought cheap players and just replaced them every 3 to 6 months. I bought this one last year when I couldn't find any $15-$20 cassette players locally any more. I have been amazed at its durability for the price, far better than any other brand or model (I've owned other coby brands that didn't last too well).
